SOLUTION: This elevator type mechanical multistory parking device 1 is attached to a high-rise building 2, a passage 5 for transfer is provided between the living rooms 4 and parking rooms 3 in the high-rise building 2, and an openable shaft side door 16 is provided between the shaft 10 of the elevator 8 and each parking room 3. The door 16 is kept closed except when a horizontally moving truck 12 goes into and out of the parking rooms 3.
