Abstract:
To provide a headrest stay which can prevent a headrest stay from being removed due to torsional deformation of the headrest stay during a collision, and to provide a notch processing method.SOLUTION: A headrest stay 1 has: an embedded part 2 embedded in a headrest body 10; and an insertion part 3, which is inserted into an insertion hole of a headrest support 11 provided at a top part of a seat back 13, and is formed by a metallic pipe. The insertion part 3 is formed with a notch 4 with which an engagement claw 12, which is movably attached to the interior of the insertion hole of the headrest support 11, engages. A groove bottom part of the notch 4 is formed in a chevron shape in a cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
