The headrest for a vehicle includes a headrest frame 2 structured of a first frame 3 and a second frame 4 connected so as to relatively rotate with the first frame, and a headrest main body 1 freely tilted between a position in use and a position in no use. The first frame 3 is formed of elastic material, and the first frame 3 is elastically deformed when a position of the headrest main body 1 is changed between the position in use and the position in no use, and an engaging part 37 crosses over an engaging part 43 on a side of the second frame 4. Thereby, when the headrest main body 1 is tilted between the position in use and position in no use, the first frame 3 is elastically deformed and the engaging part 37 crosses over the engaging part 43 on the side of the second frame 4, and thus the appropriate operation resistance and click feeling are provided to tilting operation of the headrest main body 1.
