Abstract:
To provide a headrest with built-in speakers for securely conveying necessary information to a user under a noisy environment in a cabin in volume inaudible to fellow passengers to hear.
Low-output speakers 5 are installed on a headrest body 1 in positions corresponding to user's ears. Thereby, sound output etc. from a car navigation system 8 does not bother the fellow passengers. When it is used as hands-free phone calls, confidentiality of the call is secured. It does not block ears like earphones and the user can hear sound around him/her as usual. It is also used in conjunction with a microphone so as to perform active noise control.
