The healds 19 and 28 are obtained by forming shape changing parts 14, 14', 14" and 14''' adjacent to each of end eyes or a peripheral region thereof in a lateral edge on the side opposite to an opened part of each end eye in the healds 19 and 28 used by a pair arrangement and having the opened end eyes. Furthermore, at least one of the healds 19 and 28 of the pair arrangement preferably has a recessed part formed from the lateral edge of each of the healds 19 and 28 adjacent to yarn eyes 4 and 6 toward the inside of the healds 19 and 28 or shape changing parts 14, 14', 14" and 14''' composed of a curved part in a region of each end eye subsequent to the side of each of the yarn eyes 4 and 6.
