Abstract:

To provide a health food having a higher bifidobacterium proliferation-promoting activity than those of conventional foods.

This health food containing papaya as a main ingredient is characterized by concentrating an ingredient obtained by the lactic fermentation of the papaya and adding bifidobacterium and Enterococcus faecalis. A method for producing the health food is also disclosed.
