Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide piezoelectric ceramic, which maintains a high piezo-electricity in the compositional region in the vicinity of an MPB and has the stability of a superior resonance frequency.
CONSTITUTION: The value of the (x) of piezoelectric ceramic containing a solid solution, which is shown by a general formula: xPbTiO3-(1-x)PbZrO3, as its main component is set as a value in the vicinity of the boundary between the piezoelectric ceramic and a morphotoropic phase and ceramic having a spinel type structure is made to exist in the composition of the piezoelectric ceramic. The ratio of the ceramic, which exists in the piezoelectric ceramic and has the spinel type structure, is set at 5 volume % or lower. As the ceramic having the spinel type structure, at least one kind of the ceramic out of Co2TrO4 ceramic, Mn3O4 ceramic, Fe3O4 ceramic, Mg2TiO4 ceramic and ceramic, which is a solid solution for those ceramic and has a composite spinel type structure, is used.
