Abstract:
To provide a hearth that can reduce fluctuations in component concentration of a cast product.SOLUTION: There is provided a hearth 100 that has a pair of side walls 111 and 112 extending in a longitudinal direction, an upstream side front wall 113 that is connected to and extends from each of side edges 111a and 112a of the pair of side walls 111 and 112, and a downstream rear wall 114 that is connected to and extends from each of the side edges 111b and 112b of the pair of side walls 111 and 112. The hearth has a bathtub 110 formed into a long shape, a guide plate 120 provided on the upper end of the front wall 113, and a pair of inclined plates 130 and 131 that are connected to each of a pair of side edges 120a and 120b of the guide plate 120, extend toward a section of an upper edge of each of the pair of side walls 111 and 112, and are inclined in a manner approaching the bathtub 110 at a lower side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
