PURPOSE: To obtain a burning furnace having a novel material guide since a conventional material guide to be mounted in a hearth roller type burning furnace has insufficient collision prevention of a roller with a furnace body.

CONSTITUTION: The hearth roller type burning furnace comprises a burner for heating a material to be treated at a top of a furnace body 1, a roller 2 for conveying the material to be treated therein and a material guide 4 of substantially recess shape for preventing collision of the material to be treated with the roller 2 or the body 1 to be provided above the roller 2. Further, an inner bottom of a recess shape is disposed under a horizontal surface of the upper surface of the roller 2. The guide 4 is formed in such a structure thereby to arbitrarily select the height of the side of the recess shape, and the material can be effectively guided.
