Title:
HEAT COLLECTOR UTILIZING SOLAR ENERGY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56951
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To transduce the solar energy to other energy efficiently by a method wherein many rodlike prisms made of transparent resin are fitted in parallel to a frame and the frame is made movable so that it can constantly follow the move of the sun, thereby the focus being placed on a conduction heat pipe.

CONSTITUTION: Many rodlike prisms 1 made of acryl and having different cross sections are arranged in parallel and fixed to an arc-shaped iron frame 2, thereby a condensing lens being constituted. The focus of each prism is adjusted so that it is placed on a heat pipe 5 positioned in the central part, while the heat pipe 5 is connected with a supply pipe 6 and a discharge pipe 7 both for the medium water. The arc-shaped iron frame 2 supported by a cylindrical stand 10 is rotated to the east and west and, its angle of elevation being adjusted, is moved to follow up the sun so that the lens is always opposed to the sun, thus the heat pipe being heated efficiently by the light collected.
