Title:
HEAT CONTROL DEVICE FOR ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01212698
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve radiation performance, by a method wherein a heat pipe through which a plurality of panels are thermally intercoupled is situated in an artificial satellite, and a thermal louver to close a blades during solar radiation to isolate a panel surface from the outside is mounted to the outside of the panel. CONSTITUTION:When a title device is mounted to three axis attitude control system artificial satellite on a stationary orbit, a southern exposure panel 11, northern panel 12, a eastern panel 13, and western panel 14 are intercoupled through a heat pipe 18. Thermal louvers 16 and 17 regulatable of entrance of solar light are mounted to the eastern panel 13 and the western panel 14, respectively. For example, on a condition in which solar light enters the eastern panel 13, blades (a) of the thermal louver 16 on the panel 13 are closed to cause the eastern panel 13 to form a heat insulated surface. Meanwhile, the blades (a) of the thermal louver 17 on the western panel 14 side which solar light dose not enter are opened, and the panel 14 is caused to function as a radiation surface.
