To lessen the diffusion of oil smoke into a room by disposing intake holes and air exits below a housing cabinet, providing a body under a fan with holes, disposing ribs on the outer peripheries of the air exits of the housing cabinet and the holes of the body, and forming air flow passages including a base plate.
When the oil on a plate is heated and the oil smoke is generated, the oil smoke tends to diffuse while being included in the ascending air current generated by plate heating. The air is discharged from blow-off ports 16 to the intake ports 12 by upper vanes of a centrifugal fan and the air passages 17 from the blow-off ports 16 to the intake ports 12 are formed atop an appliance 11 to be heated. The oil smoke generated on the plate is forced to flow to the intake ports 12 and the air containing the oil smoke sucked by the intake ports 12 is passed through the smoke removing filter of an oil smoke removing means 13 and is filtered. The air from which the smoke is removed is again delivered to a blow-off part. Then, the diffusion of the oil smoke into a room may be drastically reduced.
