To obtain a good image nearly free from image noise such as unevenness and dislocation in transfer by disposing photosensitive silver halide, a binder and a base precursor on a composite support obtained by sticking a biaxially oriented film to at least one face of a substrate.

The top of a composite support comprising at least a substrate and a biaxially oriented film stuck to at least the emulsion layer side (surface side) of the substrate by way of an adhesive layer is coated with photosensitive silver halide, a binder and a base precursor. Cellulose fiber paper, synthetic paper, a polymer, woven polymer fibers or cloth or a laminated body of those may be used as the substrate. The adhesive used for sticking the biaxially oriented film to the substrate may be any adhesive but a polyethylene adhesive is preferably used. The silver halide may be silver chloride, silver bromide, silver iodobromide or silver chlorobromide and any of surface latent image type and internal latent image type silver halide emulsions may be used.
