To provide a heat developable photosensitive material improved in image density unevenness and improved also in image storage stability, and an image forming method using the same.
The heat developable photosensitive material has an image forming layer containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on at least one surface of a support, and a back layer on the other surface of the support, wherein the surface glossiness of the surface having the image forming layer is ≥70 and the ratio of the surface glossiness of the surface having the image forming layer to that of the surface having the back layer is ≥1.1. The image forming method includes an image exposure step using a laser and a heat development step.
