PURPOSE: To obtain a superior photosensitive material high in heat development speed by forming a silver halide emulsion layer sontg. silver halide grains, etc., having a layer structure, contg. AgBr in a specified mol% or more or 100mol% of the total silver halide in the inner core of each grain, and in a specified mol% or less in the outermost shell of each grain, and in a specified mol% or more as the total average AgBr content of this emulsion layer.
CONSTITUTION: The heat-developable photosensitive material has at least one emulsion layer contg. silver halide grains each having a distinct layer structure measured by the X-ray diffraction method, and contg. AgBr in 90W100mol% in the core, and in 85W50mol% in the shell, and in ≥95mol% as the total average AgBr content, and another layer contg. a binder, a reducing agent of a photosensitive silver halide, such as Na2SO3 or hydrazines, a sensitizer, benzotriazole silver, a sensitizing dye, etc. Such an emulsion layer and layers each contg. each of yellow, magenta, and cyan dye donors, respectively, are laminated, thus permitting a heat-developable color photosensitive material capable of rapidly forming a high-density image to be obtained.
