PURPOSE: To enhance raw storage stability before exposure and to form an image high in quality in a short time by incorporating a specified compd. as a basic precursor in a heat developable photosensitive material.
CONSTITUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material contains, as the basic precursor, a compd. represented by the formula shown here in which Ar is an aryl or heterocyclic group substd. by R; R is a substituent combining with C and it is alkyl, OH, or the like except aryl or heterocyclic groups, and Ar and R may combine partially with each other to form another ring; B is a ≤12C mono- or di-acidic base having ≥7pKa; (n) is 1, 2, or 3, l and (m) is 1 or 2, and they are in such a relation to each other that both positive and negative charges are balanced; when (n) is 1 or 2, each of R or Ar may be same or different, and when (n) is 3, likewise each of R may be the same or different, and Ar and R are optionally substd., thus permitting a photosensitive material to form an image superior in storage stability and high in density.
