PURPOSE: To remove the decay heat accumulated in a reactor container even when the residual heat removing system of a reactor does not function.
CONSTITUTION: This device is consists of a reactor coolant purifying system in which the pressure of a core water flowing from a recirculating loop 5 connected to a reactor pressure vessel 2 to an extracted core water piping 11 is raised by a sucked water booster pump 14, cooled by a regenerative heat exchanger sucked water cooling part 7 and a non-regenerative heat exchanger 9, sent to the feed piping 15 to the reactor pressure vessel 2 after purified by a filter demineralizing device 10 and set to a proper temperature by a regenerative heat exchanger sucked water heating part 8, and then returned to the reactor pressure vessel 2. This device has a piping 16 for connecting a suppression pool 4 to an extracted core water piping 11 and a filtering and demeineralizing device bypass piping 17, a regenerative heat exchanger sucked water heating part bypass piping 18, a discharged water booster pump 19 provided o the piping 16, and electric valves 20, 21 provided on both sides of the discharge water booster pump 19.
