Abstract:
To provide a heat exchange device in which breakage or positional deviation is hard to occur, and a reformer equipped with the heat exchange device.SOLUTION: A heat exchange device is composed of a heat exchanger in which a first circulation path and a second circulation path that are honeycomb structures are assembled so as to intersect each other, a metal casing that stores the heat exchanger, and a holding mat that is arranged between the heat exchanger and the metal casing. The heat exchanger has a substantially columnar shape in which the first circulation path opens on both end surfaces and the second circulation path opens on an outer peripheral surface. The holding mat is arranged along the outer peripheral surface of the heat exchanger so as not to cover a part of the second circulation path opening on the outer peripheral surface. A surface of the second honeycomb structure of the outer peripheral surface of the heat exchanger has an opening area where the second circulation path is not covered by the holding mat and opens on the outer peripheral surface of the heat exchanger, and sealing areas which are respectively provided on both end surface side of the head exchanger with respect to the opening area and where the second circulation path is covered by the holding mat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
