Abstract:

To solve the problem that there are concerns for durability, since aluminum is lower in strength than copper, though the aluminum is replaced with the copper, in a structural material.

A pipe assembly to be used in a heat exchanger is manufactured by arranging a first wavy fin structure 10 between one wide flat side surface of a pipe 2 and a side plate 11, and arranging a second wavy fin structure 10 between another one wide flat side surface of the pipe and a separate side plate 11. The assembly is brazed by contacting a crest and a trough of the wavy fin structure with the side plate and the wide flat side surface by adding compressive force to a mutually opposite side surface of these side plates.
