To provide a heat exchange unit capable of ensuring protecting a heat exchanger, preventing damage during construction and maintenance, realizing excellent workability, excellent handleability, and excellent robustness, reducing a construction period and achieving cost cut, making efficient heat exchange with a liquid such as ground water flowing in surrounding earth and sand or in the underground, ground water (well water) accumulated in the underground, hot spring water, or oil, and achieving highly effective utilization of earth heat, excellent energy saving, and excellent environmental protection performance.

A heat exchange unit includes a bottomed cylinder-shaped casing part buried in the ground or submerged in a liquid; a storage liquid stored in the casing part; and a heat exchanger inserted into the casing part and immersed in the storage liquid. Heat conductors are buried in a peripheral wall of the casing part, and at least some of the heat conductors are exposed to an inner surface or an outer surface of the peripheral wall.
