To provide especially a maintenance-free nitrogen oxide removing method, in a nitrogen oxide removing method used for a heat-exchange ventilation fan.
After heat-exchange between indoor air and outside air is effected by a heat-exchange element 8, outside air is sucked in a room and indoor air, simultaneously, is discharged. In a so formed heat-exchange ventilation fan, nitrogen oxide absorbing body 7 provided in the vicinity thereof with a heat generating body is arranged in an outside air passage air duct. Normally, after nitrogen oxide contained in outside air is removed, outside air is introduced in a room, a heat generating body is intermittently heated, and simultaneously, by discharging nitrogen oxide brought into desorption from the absorbing body 7 to the outside of a door, the absorbing body 7 is regenerated. After the regeneration, a nitrogen oxide in outside air is removed by the adsorbing body 7 again.
