Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of preventing overheat on a tapping side and sufficiently performing heating on a water inlet side, without unevenly regulating the flow of combustion exhaust, and a water heater including the heat exchanger.SOLUTION: The areas of heat receiving part 12b-12f are caused to be gradually increased from a tapping side toward a water inlet side, and the area of the heat receiving part 12f formed below a through hole 11f positioned closest to the tapping side is made narrower than the areas of the heat receiving parts 12b-12e on upstream side with respect to the heat receiving part 12f. Consequently, without unevenly regulating the flow of combustion exhaust, while overheat of the heat receiving part 12f is prevented, the heat receiving parts 12b, 12c on the water inlet side where the temperature of hot water in a heat transfer pipe is low can be sufficiently heated.
