To provide a heat exchanger capable of securing the reliability in preventing leakage of a coolant in the heat pump cycle of a laundry washer/dryer in which a series of processes including washing, rinsing, dewatering and drying are executed in a single casing.
The heat pump cycle consists of flat plane fins 60 piled up with gaps between each other and a heat transfer pipe 61 piercing the flat plane fins 60, and a copper alloy or a stainless alloy is used in the heat transfer pipe 61 of the heat exchanger 45 constituting the heat pump cycle. Accordingly, by using the highly corrosion-resistant heat transfer pipe 61, the reliability in preventing leakage of the coolant in the heat pump cycle can be secured even if the heat exchanger is used under the environment in which the heat exchanger is exposed to the atmosphere including city water, a detergent and a softening agent, etc. for washing the laundry.
