Abstract:

To provide a heat exchanger made of an aluminum alloy where an offensive odor (especially tobacco odor) cannot adhere easily.

At least one portion of the surface of the heat exchanger made of an aluminum alloy is covered with an organic hydrophilic coating that contains at least one type selected from chitosan and its derivative (A) and at least one type of organic compound having at least two carboxyl groups per molecule (B) so that their total solid content (A)+(B) is equal to or more than 20 wt.%.
