PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger in which a brazing between a tank main body of a header tank and heat exchanger composing components can be carried out well, and provide a process of manufacture the same.SOLUTION: A tank main body 10 of a header tank 3 of a condenser is both-ends opened cylinder in which a metallic blank plate 11 comprising a first plate body 13 made of bare material and a second plate body 14 made by a brazing sheet having a core member 14a and a brazing member 14b covering an outer surface of the core member 14a is formed into a cylinder shape, and its both edges are connected to each other. A heat exchanging pipe 2 is made of metallic pipe raw material having brazing material at its outer surface. An inlet side pipe member 7 is made of metal bare material. Only a part of the tank main body 10 constituted by the first plate body 13 is formed with a pipe insertion hole 15, the end part of the heat exchanging pipe 2 is inserted into the pipe insertion hole 15 and at the same time it is brazed to the first plate body 13 by brazing material left at the outer surface of the pipe raw material. The inlet side pipe member 7 is brazed to the second plate body 14 by brazing material 14b covering the outer surface of the second plate body 14 of the tank main body 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
