To combine components together in a single process and simplify the manufacturing process of a heat exchanger by arranging first and second channel-forming members between a plurality of heat-transfer plates having through holes at four corner edge portions thereof for forming channels in cooperation with upper and lower adjacent heat-transfer plates and providing cover members for shutting out the channels from outside.
A plurality of heat-transfer plates 100 each having a heat- transfer portion 110 and through holes 112a, 112b, 112c and 112d at four-corner edge portions thereof are arranged in parallel to one another. First and second frame-shaped channel-forming members 200 and 300 each having communicating holes 220b, 220d, 320a and 320c are arranged between the heat-transfer plates 100 for forming channels in cooperation therewith, and heat-transfer fin members 400 are arranged in each channel. A first cover member 500 and a second cover member 600 for shutting out the channels from outside are arranged at the lowermost layer and uppermost layer, respectively. These structures are laminated and connected to one another by brazing, and then fluid inlet tubes 620a and 620b and outlet tubes 620c and 620d are connected to the inlets and outlets of channels of the second cover members 600, respectively.
