A first heat exchanging module 1 which is located at one end in a juxtapositional direction is constituted using a U-shaped heating tube 4, while one or more second heat exchanging modules 2 other than the module 1 is constituted using a straight heating tube 5. The hairpin heating tube 4 of the module 1 and the straight heating tube 5 of the modules 2 are connected for integration of the first module 1 and the second module 2, constituting one refrigerant circulation system and one refrigerant piping system with the module 1 and the one or more modules 2, respectively. As a result, the number of required apparatuses, such as a shunt, an electromagnetic valve or the like is reduced and hence the number of fixing processes of the apparatuses is reduced to maintain the manufacturing cost of the heat exchanger low. Thus the less expensive large capacity heat exchanger can be provided.
