To remove a metal chloride attached on a surface of thermal medium effectively without providing an extra driving mechanism to a heat exchanger.
By controlling piling height of the medium 9 being blown up from a lift pipe 14a of an airlift 14 and piling in a hopper 8 in a lengthwise cylinder shape around an upper end collar of it at exceeding an angle of repose θ, inside of the hopper 8 is set to a jet status by conveyance air blown from the lift pipe 14. The thermal medium 9 blown up into the hopper 8 in the jet status is made to flow to increase opportunity for the thermal medium 9 to collide to each other. Thus, the viscous metal chloride attached on the surface of the thermal medium 9 can be peeled off and removed effectively without providing an extra driving mechanism.
