To provide a heat exchanger capable of preventing smoke-like rising of re-evaporated steam from a discharge drain to prevent circumferential environment from being affected thereby.

A coiled cooling fluid pipe 3 is disposed inside of a heat exchange container 1 connected with a steam supply pipe 2. The cooling fluid pipe 3 is connected with a cooling fluid supply pipe 7 at its lower end and connected with a hot water discharge pipe 8 at its upper end. A drain discharge portion 9 is formed at a lower end of the heat exchange case 1. A second heat exchange case 5 is connected with a lower end of the drain discharge portion 9. As the drain discharged from the drain discharge portion 9 further exchanges heat in the second heat exchange case 5 to be cooled, it is not re-evaporated, thereby its smoke-like rising is not found.
