To provide a heat exchanger capable of improving a gas-liquid separation effect.
This heat exchanger has a liquid receiver 7 having a refrigerant inlet 32 and a refrigerant outlet 33 in a state that the refrigerant inlet is positioned at an upper part. A cylindrical member 42 through which a refrigerant passes is disposed in the liquid receiver 7 in a state that its upper end is positioned at an upper part with respect to the refrigerant inlet 32 and its lower end is positioned at a lower part with respect to the refrigerant inlet 32. A seal member 44 is disposed on an outer peripheral face of the cylindrical member 42 in a state of being kept into contact with a part between the refrigerant inlet 32 and the refrigerant outlet 33 of an inner peripheral face of the liquid receiver 7 to vertically divide the inside of the liquid receiver 7. A first communication port 47 for making the upper section 45 above the seal member 44 in the liquid receiver 7 communicate with the inside of the cylindrical body 42 is formed on an upper part above the refrigerant inlet 32 of the cylindrical body 42, and the first communication port 47 is closed by a mesh filter 48. A second communication port 49 for making the lower section 46 below the seal member 44 in the liquid receiver 7 communicate with the inside of the cylindrical member 42 is formed at a lower part below the seal member 44 of the cylindrical member 42.
