Abstract:

To heat a refrigerant and convert it into a vapor state as a result of the transmission of thermal energy from a fluid to be cooled, then, to return the refrigerant to a compressor wherein the vapor is compressed, another refrigerating cycle is started, and the cooled fluid is circulated to a plurality of heat exchangers disposed throughout the whole building.

An evaporator 250 used in a vapor compression system includes a shell 76, and a distributor network or a plurality of distributors 258 having flow passages or flow portions 260. The flow portion 260 includes a nozzle 261 composed to apply or guide a fluid onto the surface of a tube bundle 256. The shell 76 includes an inlet 252 relevant to a process fluid box 26, and an outlet 254 relevant to a process fluid box 28. The end facing a tube of the tube bundle 256 is extended between the process fluid boxes 26, 28 such that the process fluid flowing in from the inlet 252 is guided through the tube bundle 256 and can go out of the shell 76 through the outlet 254.
