To provide a heat exchanger that suppresses the deterioration of heat transferring performance by preventing burnout during heat exchange.
A heating medium flow passage 18f of a plate-type heat exchanger 100 includes a first heating medium flow passage 18f1, and a second heating medium flow passage 18f2 that changes the flowing direction from the first heating medium flow passage 18f1. A refrigerant flow passage 17f includes a second refrigerant flow passage 17f2 that can exchange heat with the first heating medium flow passage 18f1, and a first refrigerant flow passage 17f1 that can exchange heat with the second heating medium flow passage 18f2. A heating medium flow inlet 18c is disposed at a position corresponding to the upstream side of the second refrigerant flow passage 17f2. A refrigerant flow outlet 17d is disposed at a position corresponding to a downstream side of the first heating medium flow passage 18f1. The refrigerant in the second refrigerant flow passage 17f2 flows from an upstream region D1 that exchanges heat with the upstream side of the first heating medium flow passage toward a downstream region D2 that exchanges heat with the downstream side of the first heating medium flow passage 18f1.
