To provide a heat exchanger that uses free convection and that does not require an excessive space.
According to embodiments, in a heat exchanger including a heat pipe emitting heat generated from a cooling target device to outside, the heat pipe includes: an evaporation unit that is provided near the cooling target device and that evaporates a working fluid input in a liquid state; a condensation unit that condenses the working fluid input in a gaseous state after making heat exchange with outside air; a first heat insulating tube feeding the working fluid in the gaseous state from the evaporation unit to the condensation unit; and a second heat insulating tube feeding the working fluid in the liquid state from the condensation unit to the evaporation unit. The condensation unit includes: a plurality of heat transfer tubes 13 arranged in a zigzag fashion, forming a plurality of lines vertically, and extending horizontally in parallel to one another; and a plurality of plate fins 14 arranged outside of the heat transfer tubes 13 and each spreading in a direction perpendicular to an axis.
