Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent accumulation of carbon so as to constantly obtain high efficiency of thermal conductivity in a heat exchanger which exchanges heat between exhaust gas from a Diesel engine and heated fluid by providing a ceramic porous body layer which carries catalytic substance around an outer peripheral surface of a heat exchanger tube. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a heat exchanger which performs hot water supply etc., by utilizing exhaust gas from a Diesel engine, a ceramic porous body layer 2 is provided around the outer peripheral surface of a heat exchanger tube 1 in which such heated fluid as water flows in the heat exchanger. The porous body layer 2 carries catalytic substance to oxidize carbon in exhaust gas. Thereby, big surface area is secured by the ceramic porous body so that effective heat exchanging is made to be possible, while carbon which is captured and adheres in the porous body layer 2 is oxidized and changed into CO2 so that accumulation of carbon to the outer surface of the heat exchanger tube 1 and in the porous body layer 2 is prevented.
