Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the heat exchange performance while preventing deformation of fin on the outermost layer by inflating a part of wall on the side plate side of the side tank of a heat exchanger toward the inside of a channel. SOLUTION: The wall of the inner side tank member 5 of a side tank 3 is inflated partially toward the inside of a channel to provide an inflated part 18. Since the inflated part 18 is bent oppositely to a side plate 13, strength of the wall is enhanced significantly against deformation in the direction inflating toward the side plate 13. The side plate 13, and thereby the fin 12 on the outermost layer, can thereby be protected surely against deformation. Since the inflated part 18 extends in the extending direction of the channel in the side tank 3, inflation can be prevented over the entire wall region of the inner side tank member 5. According to the structure, deformation of the side plate 13 and the fin 12 can be prevented surely and entirely.
