Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the heat transfer performance and at the same time reduce the input and noise of a fan motor by a structure wherein the ratio of the major axis to minor axis of an elliptic tube is made between at least 1 and at most 3 and the ratio of the pitch of the elliptic tubes to the equivalent diameter of said tube is made between at least 1 and at most 4.

CONSTITUTION: A large number of fins 1, on which elliptic hole collars 1a are worked with equal pitches, are arranged in parallel to one another in such a manner that elliptic tubes 2 are inserted in the collars 1a and bent pipes 3 are welded to both the ends 2a of the respective elliptic tubes 2 so as to form the inner flow path of each group of the elliptic tubes 2. In this case, the ratio of the major axis to the minor axis of the elliptic tube is made between at least 1 and at most 3 and the ratio L/D of the pitch L of the elliptic tubes 2 to the equivalent diameter D of the tube 2 is made between at least 1 and at most 4. As a result, because the draft resistance is remarkably reduced and consequently the abrupt increase of fluid resistance in the tube is prevented from occurring, the heat transfer performance of the titled head exchanger can be improved and at the same time the input and noise of a fan motor can also be reduced.
