PURPOSE: To make it possible to improve the heat radiating performance of the heat exchanger by a simple construction and to fabricate the heat exchanger at a light weight and a compact size by attaching metal short fibers on the entire part of the outer surface of a metal core, in the heat exchanger between two fluides used in a radiator, and oil cooler, a condenser for an air conditioner, for use in an automobile.
CONSTITUTION: In the heat exchanger 1, short fibers 11... of metals such as aluminum, copper, stainless steel and the like, having an excellent heat conductivity, are attached to the entire part of the outer surface of a metal core 2. The outer surface area in contact with air is increased by metal short fiber 11,... attached to the entire part of the outer surface of the metal core, and the heat radiation performance per one of tubes 3... is greatly improved. Therefore, cooling fins can be reduced, and the interval between tubes 3..., and the like, result in contracting the size of the entire part, and hence the heat exchanger 1 becomes light-weighted and compact in size.
