Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure of a motor vehicle fuel tank which has a large heat insulating effect between a floor panel and the top surface of the fuel tank.SOLUTION: In a heat insulating structure of a motor vehicle fuel tank 10 mounted under a floor panel 1 of a motor vehicle, a foaming composition containing a foaming material is applied to a part of the floor panel 1 facing the outer surface of the fuel tank 10, and then foamed to form a floor panel heat insulating layer 40 thereon. At least the whole periphery of a side surface and the whole bottom surface of the fuel tank 10 are covered with a heat insulating member 20 pre-processed so as to cover them. Consequently, the fuel tank 10 is heat-insulated by the floor panel heat insulating layer 40 and the heat insulating member 20.
