To provide a heat insulation structure of a hipped section of a hipped roof, which ensures the heat insulation properties at the hipped section, and can efficiently discharge air in a venting layer from a ventilation ridge, the venting layer being formed between a heat insulation sheet and a sheathing board, in a space between rafters connected to an inclined beam of the hipped section.
The hipped section of the hipped roof is formed by arranging the rafters 2 on both sides of the inclined beam 1, and stretching the sheathing boards 3 on the rafters 2, respectively. Then the heat insulation sheet 4 is arranged so as to cover a lower side of the inclined beam 1 in a manner being spaced away from the same and being extended along a longitudinal direction of the inclined beam 1. By virtue of the heat insulation sheet 4 covering the lower side of the inclined beam 1, the heat insulation properties at the hipped section is ensured. Further the venting layer 14 is formed on an upper side of the heat insulation sheet 4 so as to reach a ridge beam 2 along the inclined beam 1, and therefore air ascending through a venting layer 13 between the rafters 2 can be lead via the venting layer 14 to the ventilation ridge above the ridge beam 2.
