Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat insulator for maintaining low heat conductivity in both breadthwise and lengthwise extension directions for a long period more than three years by producing the heat insulator from respectively specified powdery or fibrous substance and metal-free casing and limiting water absorption quantity and heat conductivity in that case.
CONSTITUTION: This molding is produced from a fine powdery or fibrous substance (a) having 4 to 50 wt.% moisture absorption capacity at 23°C and 85% relative humidity and a metal-free casing (b) covering the fibrous substance and having 0.02 to 0.1 g/(m2.d) steam permeability at 23°C and 85% relative humidity and totally 0.05 to 0.5 cm3/(m2.d.barrs) gas permeability in respect to N2, O2 and CO2 at 23°C, and has characteristics of absorbing water up to 2-15 wt.% and preventing its heat conductivity from being degraded more than 25% in that case. A vessel suitable for preserving or transporting a temperature- sensitive article is produced from the heat insulator. As for the vessel, disposable vessel for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals or vaccine a cooler and a freezer is exemplified.
