Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability while reducing the manufacturing cost of a heat medium circulation box accommodating a PTC heater and circulating a heat medium.SOLUTION: In a heat medium heating device including a first heat medium circulation box and a second heat medium circulation box closely attached to both surfaces of a PTC heater 40, respectively, having a heat medium circulation passage formed inside, the first and second heat medium circulation boxes being fluid-tightly bonded to each other, a plurality of PTC elements 41a, 41b, and 41c constituting the PTC heater 40 are arranged along a channel direction of the heat medium circulation passage, these PTC elements 41a, 41b, and 41c have different widths from one another, and the PTC elements 41a, 41b, and 41c can be independently controlled to be turned on or off.
