Refrigerant 12 is sealed in a deperssurized continuous metallic pipe 10 to make a rod type heat pipe 1, whose lower part is used as the evaporating unit 3 of refrigerant 12 and whose upper part is utilized as the condensing unit 14 of refrigerant vapor, while a plurality of places of intermediate part of the metallic pipe 10 are formed of bellows tube 9. The vertical burying parts of the bellows tubes 9 are straightened, then, reinforcing sleeves 13 are fitted to the outsides of straightened parts of the bellows to reinforce them and, thereafter, the heat pipe is buried into the ground.
