This thermal energy storage heat pump system is provided with a refrigerant passage 1 for circulating a prescribed heat medium, a compression means 2 raising the temperature of the heat medium to be circulated using boosting, a heating object medium passage 6 for circulating a prescribed heating object medium, a heat radiating means 3 raising the temperature of the heating object medium to be circulated using the heat exchange with the temperature-risen heating medium to be circulated and a refrigerant heating means 8 raising the temperature of the heat medium to be circulated and/or the heating object medium to be circulated using a prescribed chemical reaction.
