Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater capable of operating at an appropriate boiling heat quantity without degrading energy saving properties when a user of the heat pump water heater cancels a halt setting of halting heating operation performed by a heat pump unit.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a heat pump water heater comprises: a tank boiling a liquid stored therein with a heat pump cycle used as a heat source; a hot water supply circuit using the liquid stored in the tank to supply hot water; a measuring function to measure a liquid temperature in the tank; a learning function to learn a usage of hot water on the basis of a daily usage of hot water; and a halt function to halt using the heat pump cycle by a user's setting, and comprises a function to set a boiling target temperature in a tank boiling operation using the heat pump cycle after cancellation of the halt function set by a user as a boiling temperature at which the heat pump cycle has maximum efficiency when the liquid temperature within the tank measured before the tank boiling operation is increased to a boiling temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
