Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater capable of accurately determining whether the circulation of a water circuit is abnormal and ensuring low cost and high reliability without using a pressure switch or a pressure detector for detecting the pressure of a refrigerant circuit.SOLUTION: A heat pump water heater according to the present invention comprises: a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor, a refrigerant-water heat exchanger, a decompressor, and an evaporator are sequentially connected; an outlet-refrigerant temperature detector that detects a temperature of refrigerant on a refrigerant outlet of the refrigerant-water heat exchanger; an inlet-water temperature detector that detects a temperature of water on a water inlet of the refrigerant-water heat exchanger; a hot water tank; a hot water circulation device that circulates water in a water circuit connecting the refrigerant-water heat exchanger to the hot water tank; and control means for determining whether circulation of the water circuit is abnormal on the basis of the temperature (Tro1, Tro2) detected by the outlet-refrigerant temperature detector and the temperature (Twi1, Twi2) detected by the inlet-water temperature detector, at a time of starting an operation for generating hot water.
