Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater capable of performing a freezing preventive operation, even when abnormality and the like occurs in a heat pump cycle.SOLUTION: A heat pump water heater includes: a heat pump cycle having a radiator 21; a hot water storage tank 25; a circulation pump 26 for sending water in a lower part of the hot water storage tank 25 to the radiator 21; a boiling circuit having an upper side flow passage 27 for communicating the radiator 21 and an upper part of the hot water storage tank 25 and a lower side flow passage 28 for communicating the radiator 21 and the lower part of the hot water storage tank 25; and flow passage switching means 29 for switching the upper side flow channel 27 and the lower side flow channel 28. The heat pump water heater at least executes: a first freezing preventive operation mode in which the flow passage is switched to the lower side flow passage 28, the heat pump cycle and the circulation pump 26 are operated, and hot water is circulated in the boiling circuit; and a second freezing preventive operation mode in which the flow passage is switched to the upper side flow passage 27, the heat pump cycle is stopped, the circulation pump 26 is operated, and the hot water is circulated in the boiling circuit.
