Abstract:

To provide a heat pump type water heater capable of utilizing effectively remaining heat remaining in a water heat exchanger when starting a defrosting operation.

The first pump 22 of the first hot water supply circuit 20 can be operated continuously until finishing the defrosting operation, while keeping a flow rate at the time when starting the defrosting operation, when the defrosting operation is started, hot water supplying water of the first hot water supply circuit 20 is thereby heated by the remaining heat remaining in the first water heat exchanger 50 just after starting the defrosting operation, and heat energy is thereby effectively utilized. A temperature of a refrigerant for the defrosting is prevented therein from getting low by the hot water supplying water flowing through the first water heat exchanger 50, and a defrosting efficiency is prevented from getting low, since the hot water supplying water of low temperature does not flow abruptly into the first water heat exchanger 50, after the remaining heat of the first water heat exchanger 50 is recovered, by continuing the operation of the first pump 22 while keeping the flow rate reduced to a low flow rate when starting the defrosting operation.
