To improve heat exchanging efficiency of a use side heat exchanger in both cooling and heating operation modes and improve refrigerating efficiency.
The heat pump type refrigeration device is configured by forming a refrigeration cycle that connects a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, a heat source side heat exchanger 3, an expansion valve 4, and the use side heat exchanger 5 by piping for circulating a refrigerant, for cooling and heating a load fluid flowing in the use side heat exchanger 5. The use side heat exchanger 5 is configured of two heat exchanging parts 5a, 5b. Refrigerant piping is configured so that during the cooling operation mode, the refrigerant and the load fluid are heat-exchanged by a counterflow in the heat exchanging part 5a, and during the heating operation mode, the refrigerant heat-exchanged by a parallel flow in the heat exchanging part 5a is heat-exchanged with the load fluid before heat exchange by the counterflow in the heat exchanging part 5b.
