PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type steam generator capable of appropriately flow controlling the blowdown water even when the type and amount of impurities in feed water change.SOLUTION: A heat pump type steam generator comprises: a heat pump part 16 which is a heat pump cycle; a gas/liquid separator 42 for separating gas-liquid two-phase flow, which is created by the heated water which is heated in a condenser 22, into steam and hot water; a gas-liquid two-phase flow channel 46b for supplying the gas-liquid two-phase flow from the condenser 22 to the gas/liquid separator 42; a steam flow passage 44 for supplying the steam separated in the gas/liquid separator 42 to a steam utilization appliance; a circulation hot water channel 46a for supplying the hot water separated in the gas/liquid separator 42 to the condenser 22; a water supply flow passage 30 connected to the circulation hot water channel 46a for supplying the supply water; and a blowdown flow passage 45 that extracts a part of the hot water separated in the gas/liquid separator 42 so as to discharge the extracted hot water as blowdown water. The flow-rate of the blowdown water is regulated based on a steam pressure preset value of the gas/liquid separator 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
