Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact heat pump water heater having lower cost and user-friendliness.
SOLUTION: The heat pump water heater comprises a refrigerant circuit having a vertical compressor 2, a radiator 3, a pressure reducing means 4 and an evaporator connected together, a blowing fan 7 for blowing air to the evaporator 5, a water-refrigerant heat exchanger 8 integrated with the radiator 3 for changing water into hot water, a water pump 12 for feeding water, and a hot water storage tank 9 for storing the hot water. The compressor 2 and the water-refrigerant heat exchanger 8 are arranged under the blowing fan 7 but on the left side of a body unit 1 and the hot water storage tank 9 is arranged on the right side of the body unit 1 to be integrally stored in the body unit 1. Depending on the condition of starting the refrigerant circuit which is determined by a control device 38, hot water is supplied from the hot water storage tank 9 to a faucet 32, etc. or hot water is supplied from the water-refrigerant heat exchanger 8 directly to the faucet 32, etc.
